    Device Central Screen

Adobe Device Central looks cool, very cool. I’ve not tried it in the public beta of Photoshop, which I now read has a beta version of it included.

I’ve had a bunch of clients recently ask for handheld stylesheets and thankfully I’ve had a Windows Mobile device on hand to test them out. I’m about to sell it though, and even with an actual device, I’m still limiting myself to one platform.

Has anyone spent time using this tool? If so, how have you found it so far? It looks great, but who knows how it will actually work until I get a *final* copy of it.

Come to think of it, maybe this is just for flash mobile… I really hope not, but I suppose that would make sense.

I’d clung on to the service as long as I possibly could, mainly because I had faith that all would come good and the quality of service would improve.

Although the frequency of outages and poor response times had reduced, they still persisted. It’d been more than five months since I joined up, and to still get outages was not good enough really.

Perhaps in the future I’ll go back to Media Temple. Before I joined the grid I had nothing but good things to say about them. They need time to turn the service around, which I’m sure they will do. I just can’t afford to be a guinea pig while they do it.

    Small and Fruity

My new host is the fairly new but highly praised A Small Orange. They’ve had some excellent reviews lately and offer a great balance between price and features. Unlimited add-on domains, sub-domains and Mysql databases is a saviour for me. The limit on the databases with Media Temple was getting a bit restrictive with multiple client test sites.

Of course it’s early days with the service yet, but I intend to write a full review once I get to test the system a little more.

Here’s to a smooth, speedy, and reliable ride.

I agree. Enough is enough. Have you checked out BlueHost.com? Here’s a link: http://www.bluehost.com/tell_me_more.html

Well, I like Dreamhost… They offer good prices and excellent add-ons!

I’m waiting for your review about “A Small Orange”… :)

I was with DreamHost until late last year when even Mike Davidson – who made $30,000 in referrals off of them – stopped recommending them. He’s since started again.

Personally, I use Host Gator. I find that they’re very similar to DreamHost in features, I’ve never had uptime problems, and their chat-based tech support is top notch. They even helped me debug the code on one of my pages once.

Interesting, I have never heard of Media Temple, I’ve heard good things about A Small Orange. I’ve always checked out hosting services at http://www.webhostingtalk.com before getting myself (or my clients) committed to a host.

Good luck with the orange! Love your design style.
